Hilarie Sit is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Data Science Institute (DSI) and the Department of Earth, Environmental & Planetary Sciences (DEEPS) at Brown University. Prior to joining Brown, she worked as a full stack developer at eCornell. She completed her Ph.D. in Remote Sensing under the supervision of Professor Christopher Earls at Cornell University, where she applied machine learning approaches to the atmospheric duct characterization problem. Her current research interests include the application of large language models in healthcare and explainable AI.
